Mercer County authorities are investigating a shooting that left one person injured on a street in Trenton early Sunday morning.
Police responded to reports of shots fired that rang out in the vicinity of Centre and Federal streets where fast responding officers found the unidentified male victim suffering a gunshot wound to the leg just before 4:10 a.m.
The victim was rushed to an area hospital where doctors treated the non-life threatening injury.
The motive for the shooting has yet to be determined.
