Paterson police are actively investigating a shooting incident that occurred in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
At around 3 a.m., authorities responded to reports of shots fired in the vicinity of East 38th Street and 17th Avenue.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered a vehicle that had been struck by gunfire.
Police say no individuals were found inside the vehicle at the time. The suspected shooter had fled the scene and is currently at large.
A search of surrounding neighborhoods yielded no victims, and the motive behind the shooting remains under investigation.
Residents are urged to cooperate with law enforcement authorities and provide any information that may assist in this ongoing investigation.
