Police in Bloomfield are investigating a commercial robbery that occurred early Sunday morning at a local gas station.
Around 12:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Sunoco Gas Station in the 70s block of Bloomfield Avenue following reports of a robbery in progress.
According to employees, a Hispanic male robbed the station before fleeing eastbound on Bloomfield Avenue toward Newark.
The amount of stolen proceeds is currently unclear, and no physical injuries were reported.
The investigation remains active as authorities search for the suspect.
