An intense fire broke out inside a house in Jersey City, displacing several residents early Sunday morning.
The incident occurred around 3 a.m. within a two-story wood-framed house located in the 40's blocks of Tonnelle Avenue.
Firefighters promptly arrived at the scene, confronting flames coming from the structure.
They worked diligently to stretch lines and battle the blaze. One person suffered injuries, though the extent of these injuries remains undisclosed at this time.
In the aftermath of the fire, the American Red Cross stepped in to assist approximately eight residents in need of emergency shelter.
As the investigation into the cause of the fire began, no other serious injuries were reported.
