An early morning stabbing that sent a person to the hospital in Hoboken has police investigating the incident.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the area of Washington Street and 2nd streets to investigate an injured person just before 2:30 a.m.
Upon their arrival, officers found a victim suffering a stab wound to the chest.
EMS transported the victim to the hospital where they received treatment for serious injuries.
The motive for the stabbing remains under investigation.
