Paterson Police are actively investigating an early morning shooting incident that happened in the vicinity of 269 9th Avenue around 4 a.m. Monday.
Reports of gunfire prompted a response from Paterson law enforcement.
Upon arrival, authorities discovered a vehicle containing several suspects had driven through the area.
Occupants inside the vehicle reportedly opened fire at unidentified targets before speeding away from the scene. These suspects remain at large.
Following the incident, police checked at regional hospitals for potential victims; however, no injuries had been reported as of 4:50 a.m.
Investigators are exploring the possibility that an illegal after-hours club in the area may have played a role in the incident.
The investigation into the shooting remains active as police work to uncover further details and identify those involved.
