An early morning smoke condition at the University Hospital in Newark sent emergency responders to the scene to investigate.
Firefighters were called to the hospital a little after 4 a.m. when smoke was observed on the sixth level of the facility according to reports.
Crews arrived at the "E" section of the floor located a small blaze inside a wall that was reportedly due to electrical wiring reports said.
The floor was evacuated as firefighters immediately extinguished, then searched several levels of the facility, coming up negative for extensions.
There were no injuries reported.
