Scotch Plains Police are investigating a crash that closed U.S. 22 early this morning.
According to a preliminary investigation, police were called to the eastbound lanes of the highway near Mountainview Avenue at around 3 a.m. for a crash with injuries reported.
Upon their arrival, emergency responders and rescue crews observed an overturned car with a utility pole down at that location.
The crash only involved one vehicle, and there were no fatal injuries reported.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
