Authorities in Paterson are searching for the suspect involved in an early morning assault and robbery at a local gas station today.
Paterson Police were dispatched to the Delta Gas Station at the corner of Chamberlain Avenue and Redwood Avenue just before 3:55 a.m. following reports of an unconscious person on the premises.
Upon arrival, officers found a victim on the ground, suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.
A preliminary investigation suggests that the individual was attacked and subsequently robbed by the assailant, who then fled the scene before law enforcement arrived.
The suspect remains at large, and police are appealing to the public for any information that might lead to an arrest.
The area around the gas station was secured as part of the crime scene investigation, during which detectives are gathering evidence to aid in the identification and capture of the suspect.
Local residents and businesses are urged to review any surveillance footage they may have and to report any suspicious activity that could assist the police in their investigation.
