A victim suffering serious injuries from a possible assault has police in Newark investigating.
Emergency crews responded to the 200 block of 2nd Ave. at around 1:30 a.m. on reports of a seriously injured unconscious person at that location.
EMS arrived to the scene where they found the victim laying on the ground suffering serious injuries. The victim was transported to University Hospital where he was reported to be in serious condition.
There were no arrest immediately report.
