Authorities in Camden County are investigating an aggravated assault incident that left a man severely injured in Camden Tuesday.
According to preliminary information, at approximately 2:30 a.m., police responded to reports of an injured person in the 1000 block of South 8th Street.
Upon arrival, police found the unconscious and unresponsive victim lying on the ground, severely beaten.
Medical professionals administered CPR to the victim, but as of 3 a.m., his condition was only reported as life-threatening.
Police believe the circumstances behind the incident are domestic and have launched an investigation into what prompted the attack.
