E-Scooter Rider Injured in Newark Crash

Police in Newark are investigating a crash that left a motorized bike rider injured in the North Ward. Back2SchoolDirector Fritz Fragé reported that at approximately 5:50 p.m. on Monday, August 5, police responded to a call about a motor vehicle crash in the 400 block of Mount Prospect Avenue. 

According to Director Fragé, an adult male driving an electric scooter collided with another vehicle.

The driver of the e-scooter was transported to University Hospital for treatment and is reportedly in stable condition.

The driver of the second vehicle remained at the scene. 

This incident remains under investigation.
