Two individuals have been arrested and charged by members of the Hudson County Regional Fatal Collision Unit for their involvement in a recent hit-and-run collision with a pedestrian in Jersey City.
According to authorities, on Mar. 18th at approximately 8:15 p.m., the Jersey City Police Department received a report of a pedestrian struck at Boyd and West Side avenues in Jersey City. Responding Police Officers found a female pedestrian had been struck by a motor vehicle at that location. Officials said the investigation revealed that the pedestrian had been struck by a 2017 Jeep that left the scene of the accident. Upon locating the vehicle, investigators found that the damage had recently been repaired in an attempt to conceal the fact that it was involved in a collision.
