Duo Arrested on Multiple Drug Charges in Paramus

Acting Bergen County Prosecutor Dennis Calo announced the arrests of Jonathan Jimenez, 28, of Allentown, PA and Jisbury Balbuena, 28, of New York, NY, on charges of Possession With Intent To Distribute A Controlled Dangerous Substance, namely cocaine, ecstasy, and marijuana.

According to authorities, on Sept. 17th, pursuant to a narcotics investigation, members of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Route 4 West in Paramus. A search of the vehicle occupied by Jimenez and Balbuena revealed varying amounts of suspected cocaine, ecstasy, and marijuana.

As a result of the investigation, Jimenez and Balbuena were arrested and charged with two counts of Possession With Intent To Distribute A Controlled Dangerous Substance, namely cocaine and ecstasy, and one count of Possession With Intent To Distribute A Controlled Dangerous Substance, namely marijuana.

Officials say Jimenez and Balbuena were released on their own recognizance pending their appearances in Central Municipal Processing Court in Hackensack on Oct. 3rd.

Acting Prosecutor Calo states that the charges are merely accusations and that the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
