Police say a sergeant escaped serious injuries when his cruiser was struck by an alleged drunk driver on the Garden State Parkway last night.
The crash occurred Sunday night, as the unidentified sergeant was on the parked on shoulder after responding to a motor vehicle accident when his vehicle was struck, police said.
He was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital with minor injuries.
The New Jersey State Police is currently handling the investigation.
