Drizzly Morning Follows Beautiful Weekend in Newark, North Jersey Region

Residents in Newark and the North Jersey region are experiencing a damp start to their week, with morning drizzle and temperatures hovering around 70 degrees.Back2SchoolAfter enjoying a splendid weekend, the area is now seeing scattered downpours across various parts, although a break in the rain is expected by midday.

Despite the overcast conditions, temperatures will not rise much today, peaking in the low to mid-80s.

The National Weather Service predicts a 40% chance of showers and possible thunderstorms after 11 a.m., turning partly sunny with a mild south wind of 5 to 8 mph.

Tonight, NWS forecasters say the chance of precipitation decreases to 30%, with showers and thunderstorms mainly occurring before 2 a.m. The skies will then clear up somewhat, with lows expected around 72 degrees.

Residents are advised to keep an umbrella handy and make the most of the day despite the unpredictable weather.
