There were non-fatal injuries reported for a pedestrian who was struck by a car that fled the scene in Newark's West Ward Tuesday evening.
According to police, the incident happened near the intersection of South 10th Street and South Orange just before 7:20 p.m.
Police say emergency responders arrived and found the unidentified victim suffering injuries after a vehicle struck them -at that location- then sped from the scene.
The incident remains under investigation and the driver of the car is at-large.
