Police have arrested and charged a driver with DUI following an early morning collision with a patrol car in the area of 3rd Avenue West and North 6th Street.
The incident occurred around 3:20 a.m. when an impaired driver crashed into a police vehicle parked near the intersection.
Fortunately, the officers inside the patrol car were not injured.
According to initial reports, the driver attempted to flee the scene but was quickly apprehended by officers.
The case remains under investigation as authorities work to gather additional details about the incident.
