Police in Jersey City are looking for a suspect who opened fire from a vehicle in a Jersey City neighborhood this evening.
According to authorities, gunfire rang out in the 500 block of Ocean Avenue shortly before 1 p.m. sending police to the scene where they found a shell casing and a victim suffering a minor injury at that location.
Police said a black jeep with tinted windows pulled up in the area while snow was steadily falling and fired at least one round then sped away from the scene.
EMS transported the victim to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment.
It is not clear if the cause of the victim's injury came from the shooting at this time.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
