There is an active investigation underway into a stabbing that injured two victims in Newark's South Ward overnight.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the 700 block of South 10th Street after receiving reports of an aggravated assault that occurred at around 2:20 a.m.
Units arrived at the scene and found two victims suffering injuries consistent with being stabbed according to reports.
The pair were transported to University Hospital where doctors treated their injuries. There were no immediate reports of life-threatening injuries.
There were no arrests reported.
The incident is in its early stages of the investigation.
