Two victims suffered non-fatal injuries in a shooting that occurred in a section of Jersey City late Thursday night.
Officials say, at around 9:15 p.m., police responded to reports of shots fired that rang out on Bergen Avenue.
When police arrived at the scene, they found one of the victims shot in the back and a second person shot in the leg at that location.
Police said both individuals were transported to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment and are expected to recover.
According to police, a dark-colored vehicle sped away from the scene with the suspects inside.
Multiple shell casings were collected on the scene, but after a search of the area, no other victims were found.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
