Trenton police are investigating two separate shootings that occurred in the city overnight.
According to preliminary reports, in the first incident, police were called to the 1200 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at approximately 7:10 pm after receiving reports of shots fired.
Police arriving at the scene found a male victim shot multiple times at that location reports said.
The extent of the victim's injuries have not been released at this time.
In an early morning shooting incident, police were called to the 300 block of Monmouth Street to investigate shots fired reports.
Upon their arrival, they found a male victim struck by gunfire.
EMs rushed the victim to an area hospital in serious condition.
The motive for both shootings remains under investigation.
There were no arrests reported.
