Two people suffered injuries after gunfire rang out in Plainfield this afternoon.
Accoridng to Plainfield Police, at approximately 1:30 pm, Plainfield Police Officers responded to the area of West Fourth Street and Liberty Street for reports of shots fired.
Upon arrival, officers found two individuals, who are known to police, shot at that location.
Police said both victims suffered non-life threatening wounds and appeared to have been the direct targets of the shooting.
Both victims are uncooperative and have been transported to an area hospital police said.
Police located a vehicle that they believe is involved in the shooting.
No arrests have been made at this time.
Detectives are investigating.
