An investigation is underway into two separate carjackings that happened in the city on Thursday evening.
Police responded to reports of an armed carjacking that happened in the area of Broadway and Well Ave. at around 7:40 p.m.
Arriving units located a victim who told officers that several black male suspects (who were armed with a gun), took a grey 2001 Toyota Sienna shortly before officers arrived.
The vehicle has reported NJ license plate numbers, "YUF-61J".
The suspects reportedly appeared to be in the age range of 15-20 according to the victim.
Shortly after 9:30 p.m., police responded to reports of a carjacking in progress that happened in the 100 block of 23rd Ave. where according to reports, two black male suspects pointed a weapon and took a Toyota RAV-4 before fleeing the scene. A license plate number for the vehicle was not readily available.
There were no physical injuries reported in either carjacking.
