Domestic Physical Altercation Results in Two Victims Stabbed in Newark

Newark Police are investigating a domestic incident a reported family fight that ended in two people suffering injuries after being stabbed at a location in the city's South Ward Tuesday morning.

Police on routine patrol were dispatched to a physical altercation that erupted at a house located in the 300 block of Clinton Avenue at approximately 7:45 a.m. were they arrived an found a female victim suffering a head injury after being attacked by an unidentified person inside the residence with a machete-style knife.

The victim was transported to the hospital where doctors treated her injury according to reports.

A second person inside the house reportedly suffered a non-life threatening hand injury and needed treatment.

The incident is in its early stages of the investigation, so police have not reported out on who the aggressor.

It is not clear if there were any other victims at this time.
