The Mercer County Prosecutor's Office is investigating an incident where a dismembered body was found inside a plastic bag in Trenton Monday evening.
According to authorities, a passerby reportedly found the bag shortly before 5 p.m. in the 400 block of Lamberton Street then called the police.
Detectives from the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office and confirmed the unidentified severely disfigured body authorities said.
Investigators have not determined if the body is that of a male or female at this time.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
