There are serious injuries reported for the driver of a car that crash on a busy Union street this afternoon.

The two-car crash happened in the 2500 block of Springfield Avenue at Martha Avenue just before 1 p.m. where emergency responders arrived to find an overturned car with a trapped and injured occupants inside.

Crews were able to extricate a woman and another female in a short amount of time then transport them to University Hospital in serious but stable condition.
The driver of the other vehicle did not suffer severe injuries according to reports.
The crash caused massive delays on Springfield Avenue due to it's proximity to the Target Store complex.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
