Police have a crime scene established in a section of Newark’s South Ward while detectives investigate a shooting with two victims injured at this time.
Officers respond to reports of shots fired near the intersection of South 10th and Clinton Avenue just before 8:20 p.m.
Units scrambled to the scene and found a male and female suffering bullet wounds at that location.
There are no immediate reports of severe injuries.
The suspect fled the scene and is at large.
Officers also found two vehicles struck by bullets near 860 South 11th Street.
Avoid the areas for the investigation.
