Mercer County authorities are reporting life-threatening injuries for one victim who suffered a gunshot wound at a location in Trenton early Sunday morning.
According to authorities, police officers were dispatched to the vicinity of Southard and Calhoun streets to investigate reports of shots fired that rang out at approximately 4:40 a.m.
Several police units who arrived at the scene found a severely injured unidentified victim struck by gunfire according to police.
EMS rushed the victim to an area hospital where doctors began to treat the seriously injured victim police said.
Detectives established a crime scene in the area where they searched for evidence to support a motive for the shooting. The shooter remains at-large according to police.
