Police in Paterson are reporting non-fatal injuries for a woman found shot in the city this afternoon.
According to preliminary reports, police responded to reports of shots fired that rang out in the single-digit block of Christina Place around 1:35 p.m.
Units arrived and reportedly found a pregnant woman suffering a bullet wound at that location.
The victim was transported to St. Joseph's Hospital for treatment.
Police said a red vehicle, possibly a Scion, fled the scene and the suspect remains at-large.
**UPDATE 3:20 p.m.** Passaic County authorities have now launched a homicide investigation.
