Police in Paterson are investigating a violent early morning shooting that occurred in Paterson Saturday morning.
According to police, a gunman arrived in the vicinity of 684 East 25th Street at approximately 2:40 a.m. and began to fire shots at individuals in the neighborhood.
Police officers arriving at the scene found an unidentified person suffering a bullet wound in the head at that location.
Police say a further search of the crime scene had officers locating a second victim struck in the leg by a bullet.
Both victims were transported to St. Joseph's Hospital for treatment according to police.
Police say after firing multiple, the suspect fled the scene and remains at-large.
The motive for the shooting has not been determined.
