The Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office and the Paulsboro Police Department are investigating the death of a 19-year-old male Paulsboro resident.
According to a statement released by authorities, at approximately 12:56 p.m. today -Sunday- the Paulsboro Police Department was dispatched to the area of West New Street for a reported fight involving knives.
Upon arrival, the Paulsboro Police Department discovered a 19-year-old Paulsboro resident suffering from stabs wounds to his body.
Authorities say Gloucester County EMS and Inspira Paramedics transported the victim to Inspira Medical Center, Woodbury, where the victim succumbed to his injuries at 1:34 pm.
Gloucester County Medical Examiner, Dr. Gerald Feigin, is scheduled to perform an autopsy on the victim tomorrow morning to determine the cause and the manner of his death.
The Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office and the Paulsboro Police Department believe there are additional witnesses who may be able to assist with information regarding the circumstances of the attack.
