Investigators are on the scene of a suspicious death of a woman found in the city's West Ward a short time ago.
Police responded to the 300 block of South 20th Street at around 9:15 p.m. after receiving reports of a suspicious bag found by residents at that location.
Unitis arriving to the scene located the bag that contained the dead body of a female victim is around the age of 30-years-old.
Initial reports from the scene indicates that the woman was possibly thrown or placed at that location from a person occupying a vehicle.
There is a crime scene established and investigation is underway.
The Essex County Prosecutor's Office is handling the investigation.
