Authorities are on the scene of a shooting with a male victim suffering a gunshot wound at this time in the city.
The shooting occurred in the 200 block Muhammad Ali Boulevard shortly before 1:30 p.m. where an officer reportedly fired his weapon at a suspect at that location.
The victim was transported to University Hospital where his injuries have not been reported as life threatening.
A police officer has also been transported to the hospital in an unknown condition.
The shooting has the Louise A. Spencer School on a lock-down status at this time.
