Newark Police officers ordered EMS in a rush after they found a man critically injured after suffering stab wounds at a location in Newark this afternoon.
According to preliminary reports, police were initially called to the vicinity of 135 Roseville Avenue after they received reports of a man shot at around 3:20 p.m.
Units canvassed the area and found the man bleeding heavily suffering multiple stab wounds in his back and side inside a liquor store according to reports.
The victim was rushed to University Hospital where police officials say his injuries are life-threatening.
The motive for the stabbing remains under investigation.
Police say the suspect remains at-large.
