There are critical injuries reported for a victim of a double shooting that occurred in Newark a short time ago.
Police have a crime scene established in the vicinity of 296 Springfield Avenue shortly after they responded to reports of shots fired with injured victims before 5:15 p.m.
Upon their arrival, they found two victims suffering gunshot wounds at that location.
One of the victims is suffering a non-life threatening graze wound to the head in the area of 15th Avenue and Bergen Street while the other victim was struck multiple time to his body and found at the Autozone according to reports.
EMS has arrived at the scene and are assisting the injured at this time.
The circumstances behind the shooting is under investigation.
