Police are on the scene investigating an armed robbery theta occurred at a grocery store in the city's South Ward.
Officers were called to the Sophia's Mini-Market and Deli located in the 100 block of Bragaw Avenue and Wainright Street shortly before 1:17 p.m. after they received reports of an armed robbery in progress.
Upon arrival at the scene, police were told by employees that two black male suspects, one with dreadlocks- entered the establishment armed with a rifle and demanded cash.
Both suspects took an unknown amount of cash before they ran from the scene and entered a newer modeled 4-door Infinity with temp tags.
There were no physical injuries reported.
