Police have a crime scene established in a section of Newark for a shooting with property damage reported.
At approximately 7:07 p.m., police responded to reports of shots fired in the area of 88 Cutler Street.
When officers arrived, they found two homes struck by multiple bullets.
No one inside was injured and the suspect fled the scene and is at large.
The incident remains under investigation.
In a second but separate incident, at approximately 7:18 p.m., a gunman fired several rounds at potential targets in the area of 183 3rd Street.
Police arrived and found several shell casings but no victims. The suspect fled the scene in a burgundy SUV heading westbound on I-280.
No injuries were reported.
