Newark Police are currently investigating a shooting that occurred in the city's Lower West Ward.
The incident happened around 7:30 p.m. near 69 South 13th Street. Upon their arrival, officers discovered a man with a gunshot wound to his stomach.
The injured individual was immediately transported to University Hospital for medical attention, though the severity of his injuries remain unclear.
As of now, authorities have yet to identify any suspects involved in the shooting.
Investigations are ongoing.
