There is an active crash investigation underway in Linden as officials look into the cause of a motorcycle crash that occurred on one of the city’s roadways.
According to a brief statement released by Linden Police, the crash happened at around 4:15 a.m., when a car struck a motorcycle at St. George Avenue at Park.
Police say the motorcyclist was transported to Newark University Hospital suffering severe injuries.
Authorities closed St. George Avenue in both directions between Elmora and Adams streets.
Police say North Park Avenue is also closed northbound between Ingalls Avevenue & St. George Avenue.
The crash is under investigation by the Linden Police Traffic Bureau.
