There are a host of emergency responders on the scene of a pedestrian strike with fatal injuries reported at this time in Jersey City.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the vicinity of Clinton Avenue and Kennedy Boulevard at around 4:45 a.m. to investigate a report of a person injured at that location.
Crews arrived at the scene and found a badly injured, unconscious, and unresponsive person lying in the street.
Several parked cars were also struck during the incident according to reports.
Police have Kennedy Boulevard closed in both directions while investigators from the Jersey City Police Department and the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office are on the scene.
Avoid the area for the investigation.
**UPDATE 5:30 am:** There are other injured victims reported but non-life threatening at this time.
