There is a crime scene established on a campground in Jackson Township as authorities investigate a shooting that has one person dead at this time.
Police responded to reports of shots fired in the Indian Rock RV and Campground on West Veterans Highway just before 1:50 p.m. where officers arrived to find an unconscious and unresponsive person at that location.
According to preliminary reports, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene by medical staff.
The Ocean County Prosecutor's Office are on the scene assisting in the incident.
Authorities have not released a motive or any possible suspects.
