Police in Irvington are searching a neighborhood for a missing township child this evening.
According to residents in the 70’s block of Prospect Street, police have been knocking on doors and ringing doorbells since 7 p.m. asking residents if they have seen a 8-year-old female child who have been disconnected from her guardians for several hours.
Officers are checking alleys and yards in search for the child according to residents.
Police have not released the name or identity of the girl at this time.
