Hudson County authorities are looking into an incident where a body was located inside a park in Harrison earlier this afternoon.
The incident is in its early stages of the investigation, but local officials confirmed that they discovered the body of an unidentified male near one of the Gazebo's in the West Hudson Park near Schuyler Avenue before 4:40 p.m.
Witnesses told RLS Metro Breaking News that police closed off a section of the park while they notified The Hudson County Sheriff's Department who has since taken over the investigation that now involved the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office.
There is no immediate confirmation of foul play reported by authorities. The cause of the victim's death is under investigation.
The identity of the victim has not been released at this time.
