Tragedy struck in Clifton as former New York Giants player Mr. Korey Cunningham was found deceased at his residence on Riverwalk Way.Police and emergency medical services responded to the scene shortly before 3:30 p.m. after reports emerged of an unconscious man at the location.
Upon arrival, officials discovered Cunningham and promptly notified the medical examiner.
RLS Media was informed by law enforcement sources that Cunningham's death was self-inflicted.
His body was removed from the property by the State Regional Medical Examiner’s Office around 4:30 p.m.
Cunningham, aside from his NFL career, was also known for his entrepreneurial efforts, being the registered agent for K5 LOGISTICS LLC, a New Jersey-based company he filed on November 2, 2023 our research team found out.
The company, active under File Number 451043454, lists its business address as Cunningham's home, indicating his ties to the Clifton area.
The loss of Cunningham was deeply felt at the scene as our RLS Media team watched individuals -believed to be family member- gather outside the residence, visibly distraught.
Cunningham's football career was notable; drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in 2018, he played at various times for the Cardinals, New England Patriots, and the New York Giants.
His journey in the NFL included numerous signings, trades, and recoveries from injuries
Cunningham’s final contract with the Giants was a one-year deal worth $1,080,000, signaling a promising continuation of his athletic pursuits which was tragically cut short.
Police have not reported any signs of foul play in his death.
