NJ State Police are on the scene of a crash with fatal injuries reported on a highway in Union County at this time.
According to preliminary reports, the crash happened at approximately 7:20 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-278 at the NJ Turnpike ramp.
Police say emergency responders found the motorcyclist lying on the highway unconscious and unresponsive after being ejected from the bike.
Medical personnel pronounced the unidentified person dead at the scene.
There were no other injuries reported.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
