A barrage of bullets fired by a suspect on a street in Elizabeth connected on a car occupied by a woman early Saturday morning.
The violence unfolded in the vicinity of Clarkson and Bayway avenues where an unidentified male arrived in the area and began to fire multiple shots in the direction of a female occupying a car.
Police arrived at the scene and found the uninjured woman and her car that was penetrated by bullets.
According to preliminary reports, police are looking for a thin black male suspect who wore dark clothing when he ran from the scene immediately after the shooting.
The incident remains under investigation. The motive is unknown at this time.
