In the Keasbey section of Woodbridge, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone, and local police are currently investigating a catastrophic house fire that erupted early this morning.
At around 6:45 a.m., authorities rushed to a residence on Greenbrook Avenue following reports of a fire.
They arrived to a harrowing scene: the house was fully engulfed in flames and tragically collapsed shortly after.
While one adult male is receiving treatment for injuries sustained, his mother remains unaccounted for, intensifying the urgency of the situation.
The investigation into the fire's origins is ongoing, and officials are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist Detective Thomas Ratajczak of the Woodbridge Police Department or Detective Rosario of the Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office.
UPDATE: Authorities say a body has been found, but because of how bad the devastating fire was, there has been no positive ID yet. Officials are waiting for dental records to confirm the identity.
