The Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office are reporting that two boys, ages 9 and 13, fell from the balcony leaving the 9-year-old dead earlier this evening .
According to authorities, at around 5 p.m. , a deck collapsed on the second floor of a building in Perth Amboy causing the boys to fall to the ground on Brighton Avenue.
Police said the 9-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the scene while a Medivac helicopter airlifted the 13-year-old boy to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in serious condition.
Offcials are trying to determine what caused the deck to collapse.
