Police in Newark or investigate the death of a woman found at a residence in Newark’s South Ward on Monday afternoon.
In a statement released by Newark Police, officers were called to the 100 block of Dayton Terrace at around 4 PM after they receive calls of suspicious activities at that location.
Units arrived at the scene and found the unidentified, unconscious and unresponsive female who was pronounced dead a short time later according to police.
Police say the incident is under investigation, although it is not considered suspicious.
Authorities are seeking the woman’s identity at this time to make notifications.
